Welcome to the new thecic.org

The Canadian International Council (CIC) is proud to launch the complete redesign of its website thecic.org. We are sure you will find it quicker and more intuitive to use. This redesign corresponds with the renewed focus of the CIC upon research, with the launch of two new research streams: Global Populism, Protectionism and Polarisation; and Real & Imagined Security Threats in an Uncertain World. Supporting these research streams are four new experts who are joining the CIC under its fellowship program.

Our blog, The Signal Board, now serves as a hub for the latest insights and discussions on Canadian foreign policy. In the ongoing blog series Field Dispatches, Canadians working abroad draw upon their unique experiences and placements to discuss Canada’s latest foreign affairs issues. Thanks to our partnership with Sage Publications, in the IJ Spotlight blog series we select one article of key significance from every new issue of International Journal and make an abridged version freely available.

Key to the new website is reconnecting and featuring more than 79 years of the organization’s history. The publication archives are ever expanding as the CIC increasingly digitizes its print publications from as early as 1940. Additionally, the most popular event videos and expert interviews over the last decade are now available digitally.
