Volunteer Opportunity: Canadian International Council National Office
Are you a researcher, marketer, digital communications specialist, web developer or have an interest in international affairs and are looking for valuable experience with an established not-for-profit?
Perhaps you’d like to get more people involved in the conversation about Canada’s place in the world?
The CIC is looking for volunteer help for its web, and communications functions.
The Canadian International Council (CIC) is a platform for citizens to engage in discussions on international issues. Our mission as an independent, non-partisan and charitable membership organization is to involve Canadians in defining our country’s place in the world.
The CIC is looking for candidates with a combination of these skills:
- Digital marketing
- Social media production
- Website development
- Web and social media analytics
Ability in both official languages is preferred, but not required.
We are not looking for candidates with advanced skills in all of these areas, but at least strong abilities in a number of them.
If you’re looking to get into the world of international affairs, whether by developing powerful web platforms or directly contributing to citizen engagement and story telling, we’d love to hear from you!

Perhaps you’d like to get more people involved in the conversation about Canada’s place in the world?
Open Canada is looking for volunteer help for its editorial, web, marketing and communications functions.
Open Canada is an online magazine published by the Canadian International Council that aims to engage Canadians from all walks of life in a discussion about this country’s place in the world. We do this by publishing, in English and French, analysis, commentary, reporting and personal stories that will provoke debate and encourage Canadians to become involved in pushing for the foreign policy they want both through government and non-state actors and actions.
Open Canada is looking for candidates with a combination of these skills:

- Research
- Fact-checking
- Digital marketing
- Social media production
- Website development
- Web and social media analytics
