International Journal Essay Prize Winner Announced
Women in International Security Canada (WIIS-Canada) is a national network dedicated to promoting women’s leadership in international security. It supports members throughout their careers, through research, mentorship, professional development events, and public engagement.
With support from SAGE Journals, the CIC, and the Bill Graham Centre, International Journal is pleased to support WIIS-Canada, by sponsoring the $500 essay prize given in connection with the organization’s annual workshop. This year’s winner was Charlotte Duval-Lantoine, a graduate student from Queen’s University, for her essay, “Culture Change and its Complexities: Gender Integration in the Canadian Forces, 1989-1999.”
As part of its commitment to a greater diversity of authors and viewpoints, and to reaching a broader readership, International Journal is proud to contribute to WIIS-Canada’s efforts to support women working on international security issues—and particularly in encouraging the development of junior scholars like Charlotte.
