CIC Vancouver: Welcome to Vancouver – A Discussion on LGBTQ2+ Refugees in Canada

August 3, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm UTC+0

The Vancouver Branch of Canadian International Council in partnership with the Vancouver Pride Society are hosting the inaugural Vancouver Pride Society LGBTQ2+ human rights panel discussion. This event will provide the Vancouver LGBTQ2+ community with an annual forum to bring together leaders within the LGBTQ2+ community, allies and government together to discuss important human rights issues impacting the community. The inaugural event will be a panel discussion on LGBTQ2+ refugees in Canada. We are calling the event: Welcome to Vancouver: A Discussion on LGBTQ2+ Refugees.

The event will be a panel discussion highlighting local and national non-profit organizations (Rainbow Refugee, Rainbow Railroad) that support LGBTQ2+ refugees in both Vancouver and Canada. It will also highlight the personal stories of LGBTQ2+ refugees that have made Vancouver their home and their harrowing stories of courage, strength and survival.

We are predicting this to be a sold out event. Get your tickets while quantities last. Tickets can be purchased here: https://lgbtq2refugees.eventbrite.ca.
