On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, CIC Edmonton will be sitting down with The Norwegian Ambassador to Canada, Jon Elvedal Fredriksen, for an in-depth conversation on Canada-Norway relations and to take your questions.
This in-person event will provide an opportunity for CIC members and guests to sit down with Ambassador Fredriksen, who will take guest questions and be part of a conversation on Canada-Norwegian relations, energy security, the artic, world events, and more!

About our guest:
Mr. Jon Elvedal Fredriksen is Norway’s Ambassador to Canada. Ambassador Fredriksen presented his credentials to Governor General Julie Payette 13 October 2020.
Mr. Fredriksen comes from the position as diplomatic advisor to the Prime Minister of Norway. He has previously been Norway’s Ambassador to Ukraine and Consul General of Norway in Murmansk, Russia, and has extensive experience with Arctic affairs and security policy. He also worked with the Norwegian ministry of Trade. Mr. Fredriksen is a graduate of the University of Tromsø, Norway in Russian studies, world literature and structural linguistics. He conducted additional studies in Stuttgart, Germany.
