In partnership with the Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation, the Saskatoon branch of the Canadian International Council invites you an event on the following important international issue:

TOPIC: Creating Hope with Development and Peace: how the sustainable development goals are coming to life.

In celebration of International Development Week, come join us as Michael LeBlanc, discusses the worldwide impact of the organization Development and Peace – Caritas Canada.


With 68 current projects in 62 countries, Development and Peace – Caritas Canada focuses on climate and ecological justice, democracy and citizen participation, justice for women, and peace and reconciliation, among other things. Find out more about the organization’s history, structure and how they are able to join the international community in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals for our shared future on this planet.


About our speaker:

Michael LeBlanc has been Development & Peace – Caritas Canada’s Saskatchewan Coordinator since 2021, and previously served as a “D&P” volunteer with his home Parish in Saskatoon. Over the years, he has been involved in a variety of volunteer positions but feels most at home in international solidarity while working toward the Sustainable Development Goals. He and his lovely wife make their home in Saskatoon in the neighbourhood of Caswell Hill.

Register for dinner with the speaker before February 1, 11:30 a.m. Dinner registrants will be expected to pay even if they cannot or do not attend. Persons with dinner reservations who cannot attend are encouraged to find someone else to take their place.
