CIC Winnipeg: Strong Secure Engaged: One Year Later

Description

In June 2017, the Government of Canada released a new defence policy: Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE), with promises for significant new spending on defence. General Crabbe will review the implementation of SSE and explain how it is being managed. He will discuss some select new initiatives arising from SSE and will provide his views on their value to Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces.

Speaker’s Biography

Lieutenant-General Ray Crabbe joined the Canadian Army in Sep 1963. He served in a variety of command and staff appointments, including a tour of duty with the United Nations in Cyprus and NATO in Germany. Lieutenant-General Crabbe is a member of the Departmental Audit Committee for the Department of National Defence and remains active in defence and security matters.
