The DPRK–USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam set for the 27-28 February provides an opportunity for an assessment of the state of the relationships between Trump and Kim and Washington and Pyongyang, and the real and perceived threat that the North Korean nuclear program poses for the world and for Canada.

Speaker’s Biography
Dr James Fergusson is the Deputy Director of the Centre for Defence and Security Studies, and Professor in the Department of Political Studies at the University of Manitoba. He teaches a range of courses in international relations, foreign and defence policy, and strategic studies, and has testified on several occasions to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Standing Committee on National Defence, most recently on North Korea and Canadian Defence, and the Senate Standing Committee on National Security on missile defence.
