CIC Vancouver: Adapting in the Dust: Lessons Learned from Canada’s War in Afghanistan
March 3, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm EST

The CIC Vancouver Branch cordially invites you to attend a Law Courts Luncheon on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016 with Professor Stephen Saideman.
Prof. Saidman will be presenting a lunch time talk based on his newest book entitled, “Adapting in the Dust: Lessons Learned from Canada’s War in Afghanistan” at the Law Courts Inn, Law Courts Building located at 800 Smithe Street.
Canada’s six-year military mission in Afghanistan’s Kandahar province was one of the most challenging ever faced since the Korean war. A complex and confusing conflict, the Afghanistan mission tested the mettle not just of Canada’s soldiers but also of its politicians and public servants. In his penetrating assessment “Adapting in the Dust” Steve Saideman illuminates the lessons learned from the war in Afghanistan and what they suggest for the management of similar Canadian missions in future.
