CIC Toronto: Is Canada ill-equipped to play geopolitical hard-ball? Featuring Roy Rempel

July 17 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

The Canadian International Council’s Toronto Branch is delighted to invite you to a virtual webinar discussion on Canada’s foreign policy in an era of geopolitical contest, with Dr. Roy Rempel, former Director of Policy in the Office of the Opposition, Senate of Canada.

Heightened tensions across the world stage have put Canada into an increasingly uncertain position. What is the current state of Canada’s foreign and defence policy today? How do legacy themes in Canadian foreign policy and the approaches of different Governments play a role in the modern era of geopolitical tension? The conclusion may not be positive – Canada is now facing challenges of strategic marginalization and asking difficult questions of preparedness for how the global order is evolving.

Join us for a virtual discussion on these pressing developments in foreign affairs with Dr. Roy Rempel.
