April 7, 2016 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT

CIC_Saskatoon_logo

Prof Dupeyron will be speaking on European Immigration and Refugee policies, an appropriate topic given current events in Brussels and the connection of recent events to the Syrian Refugee Crisis.

This is a CIC event being run in coordination with a fundraiser for the Belgium Study Abroad Program at University of Saskatchewan. The fundraiser consists of a Steak Night event from 6pm to 8pm. If you would like to attend the fundraising portion of the night, please contact me to reserve tickets. Tickets must be reserved prior to April 3PrdP. Attendance for the presentation also requires an RSVP via Eventbrite (or by email to martin.gaal@usask.ca) due to limited seating capacity.

Speaker’s Biography
Prof Bruno Dupeyron is a Fulbright Scholar and Graduate Chair, Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. Bruno Dupeyron’s major research interests are border and immigration issues, using political sociology and comparative perspectives. Bruno’s research focuses on two streams: (1) the transformations of cross-border governance in North America and Europe, and (2) the regulation of mobility and security in North America.
