CIC Saskatoon Members-Only Event: CIC Welcomes Embassy of Hungary Delegation to Saskatoon
March 5, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST
Did you know:
* one of the very first Hungarian settlements in Canada was in Saskatchewan?
* the town of Esterhazy is named after a Hungarian aristocrat – Count Esterhazy?
* the Hungarian Ambassador to Canada is an economist and graduate of Corvinus University in Budapest?
Join us for an exclusive dinner with Hungary’s Ambassador to Canada, His Excellency Bálint David Ódor and Deputy Head of Mission László Sinka, in their visit to Saskatoon in early March.
While there will not be a public presentation afterwards, dinnertime provides an opportunity for sharing of information and views one would not otherwise hear.
Consider taking this in – you’ll be very happy that you did.
Dr. Bálint Ódor was appointed Hungary’s new ambassador to Canada in 2014. He is an economist and European Union specialist. He was appointed deputy state secretary in 2010. Previously, between 2007 and 2010, Mr. Ódor served as director general of the Hungarian Parliament’s Foreign Office. Dr. Bálint Ódor received his PhD in 2014 from Budapest’s Corvinus University and had previously studied at the École Nationale d’Administration in Paris and at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Mr. László Sinka is Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Hungary in Canada.
