CIC Saskatoon: Combatting Human Trafficking in Vietnam

Human trafficking is not a dead issue, not relegated to the dustbin of previous centuries of slavery. Human trafficking and the prostitution of children is a significant issue in the southeast Asia, often controlled by organized crime syndicates.

the Saskatoon branch of the Canadian International Council is honoured to host Dr. Carin Holroyd, MSM, of the Vietnam Education Society (www.vietnameducation.ca ) as she discusses the magnitude of the problem in Vietnam, while also relating a few of the success stories pointed at eliminating this horrible injustice of person upon person.
