Dr. Taylor will share some of her perspectives regarding the role of Russia and the Peoples Republic of China in the Middle East.

SPEAKER BIO:

Pegatha Taylor is the Director of Foreign Policy Research and Foresight at Global Affairs Canada. A career foreign service officer, she has worked extensively on the Middle East and on international security, including most recently as Deputy Director for Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon from 2017-19. She has served abroad on postings in Syria and the United States, and assisted with the re-opening of Canada’s embassy in Tripoli in 2011.
