CIC National Capital (Ottawa): Kurdish Independence and the Rigidity of the International State System: Is a Non-Violent Solution to Kurdish Ethnonationalism Possible?

Description

Professor Wayne Cox, Associate Professor of Political Studies and Fellow of the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen’s University, will share his perspectives on the outcome of the recent referendum in the Iraqi Kurdish province, and what it means to the Kurds and a region that has been embroiled in ethno-religious strife. This event is being organized by the CIC National Capital Branch’s Middle East Study Group.
