CIC Halifax: Geopolitical Flashpoints Around the World

We’re delighted to host Dr. Chris Kilford, a member of the national board of the Canadian International Council (CIC), President of CIC Victoria, and Editor of Open Canada.
Over the past 18 months, Chris has travelled to Türkiye, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and Bhutan on official and semi-official visits, meeting with officials such as Canada’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Kevin Hamilton and Taiwan’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Remus Li-Kuo Chen. Earlier this year, he also visited Poland and Latvia, meeting senior officials and members of the Canadian Armed Forces who are training Ukrainian military personnel and leading NATO’s Multinational Brigade in Latvia.
This promises to be an insightful and lively discussion about the state of global affairs—and what Canada’s role might be amid growing uncertainty. This event is particularly timely, coming just ahead of the Halifax Security Forum.
Reserve your spot today! Spaces are limited. Don’t miss this opportunity to join fellow CIC members and guests for an evening of ideas, conversation, and camaraderie.
