CIC Edmonton: Dinner with Consul-General Caroline Saunders

Please join us for dinner with the UK Consul- General, Caroline Saunders during her first official visit to the province. This is a unique opportunity to talk about Brexit, the future of the European Union and the UK’s relationship with Canada.
The event is part of an ongoing series providing our members with the exclusive opportunity to have informal discussions with foreign dignitairies as they travel through the city.
If you are interested in joining please RSVP by end of day November 30, 2016 to Edmonton@thecic.org There are no tickets for this event, however, members are expected to pay for their own bills.
Speaker’s Biography
Caroline is a career diplomat with diverse experience overseas and in London. She assumed her role as British Consul General in Calgary on May 1, 2016 and is responsible for Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Her most recent United Kingdom (UK) Foreign and Commonwealth Office roles were Head of Global Challenges and Innovation, and Head of Global Low Carbon Growth.
She was Deputy Consul-General and Head of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) in Brisbane, Australia and Political and Media Officer at the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur. She has also worked at UKTI in London on trade strategy and for the United Nations Conference on Disarmament negotiations on chemical and biological weapons. Her first overseas posting was as Development Attaché at the British High Commission in New Delhi.
