THE CIC STEWARDS’ CIRCLE

Stewards’ Circle members help to sustain the operations of the CIC – and its signature projects – across the country. Support at the $5000 donation level or higher means joining Chair John English in his ongoing efforts to ensure that the CIC will continue to thrive well into the future.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION MEANS:

IMPACT

Throughout the CIC’s long history, there have been individuals who’ve helped ensure that the citizen engagement vision of our founders has stayed front and centre through numerous political upheavals, economic challenges and other national crises in Canada.

Today, it is the members of the Stewards’ Circle who will help steer the CIC into the future by supporting both our core operations, and our aspirations.

TAX RECEIPT

We are pleased to issue an official tax receipt in the full amount of all Stewards’ Circle donations.

APPRECIATION

With gratitude and our heartfelt thanks, all Stewards’ Circle members are recognized in our Annual Report.

Signature Program Support

Contribute to future initiatives based around the remarkable results achieved through our deliberative democracy exercise: Foreign Policy by Canadians, and other collaborations aimed at increasing citizen engagement across the country in discussions focused on Canada’s place in the world.

STEWARDS’ CIRCLE DONATIONS SUPPORT:

BRANCH INITIATIVES

The lifeblood of the CIC are the individuals belonging to our 18 branches across the country. Members organize speaker and panel events and run student scholarship programs along with student-focused career events.  Some branches conduct very popular student mentorship programs while others assist and fund student-run Model United Nations conferences.  And all our branches work with local partners to ensure young Canadians will be well-prepared for the future.

NATIONAL EVENTS & OPEN CANADA

Online and in-person national high-profile events drive membership at the local level. Open Canada, our digital magazine, aims to engage Canadians from all walks of life in a discussion about this country’s place in the world.

FOREIGN POLICY BY CANADIANS

2021 saw us hold the largest deliberative democracy exercise ever held in Canada. In 2023 we will continue taking the results of this major undertaking and delivering our findings to audiences across Canada.

RESEARCH

Our team contributes to the existing body of knowledge on pressing foreign policy issues through publications such as the CIC’s ‘International Journal’.
