On June 5, the CIC National Capital Branch, in partnership with the Centre for International Policy Studies (CIPS) at the University of Ottawa, and the Retired Heads of Mission Association (RHOMA), hosted a pre-election panel on Canadian foreign policy – Is Canada Back?

Moderated by Chris Hall of CBC, this event featured representatives of the major federal political parties for a panel discussion on Canada’s foreign policy and the upcoming federal election, and was followed by questions from the audience. The speakers were: Rob Oliphant, Liberal MP and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs; the Hon. Erin O’Toole, Conservative Party of Canada Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs; Guy Caron, New Democratic Party Critic for Foreign Affairs; Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party.
