CBC News speaks with former diplomat Ben Rowswell about the rising tension between Canada and China

Dec 16, 2018 | Interview

CIC President Ben Rowswell was interviewed by Natasha Fatah on CBC News about the Huawei dispute and what it means for Canada’s place in the world. “There is more of a cost to China the longer this dispute lasts than there is to Canada. Real power comes from an ability to band together with other countries to solve shared problems. China’s ability to do this is negatively affected by its arrest of foreign nationals on its territory”, said Rowswell. Watch the full interview.
