On October 25th, the CIC National Capital Branch co-hosted a special luncheon event with the Rideau Club, The US Election: The Race, the Stakes and the Consequences, with Stuart Rothenberg and David Halton. Rothenberg, one of the most influential political analysts in Washington, shared his insights into a campaign that has shaken up U.S. politics.

Bios:

Stuart Rothenberg has been described as an “authoritative” and “plugged in” source for political insiders in the U.S. He is the founding editor of The Rothenberg and Gonzalez Political Report, a non-partisan newsletter specializing in presidential and congressional elections. As a national columnist for The Washington Post, Rothenberg has also been a frequent contributor to CNN, CBS and PBS, and his op-ed articles have appeared in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

David Halton introduced our guest speaker. Halton was the senior correspondent in Washington for CBC News from 1991 to 2005.
